This is Kadhir here, Business Development Manager of ALLTERE Group, A marketing and Development wing of Xavier University- Netherlands Antilles.
We are aware how progressive the Indian Community is. The founders of this university are of Indian origin.
As you would be aware Medical profession is one of the noblest professions in the world. Due to the commercialization of health care, there is lot of demand for medical education. Developed countries like USA, UK etc have got a big shortage of health care professionals, added to which the local universities are not able to meet the demands. Added to this is the stringent entrance procedures that supports the locals more, while NRI's POI's , etc are left with little options but to look for avenues abroad.
We have to be very careful in choosing a good medical school abroad, Location, Teaching methodology, Conducive environment for studies, international exposures, good faculties, Alumni base and Reputation back in Home country are of great importance.
Xavier University- Netherlands Antilles and their Project Management wing ALLTERE, has jointly developed an International American Doctor of Medicine program. This Program is taught for 3 years in Philippines and the final year can be done in our affiliated hospitals in USA. This is specially designed for students who want to train and/or practice in USA. In addition to this there are inbuilt training for USMLE exams and wide variety of student support. This will be also valid for students to take up MCC- Canada, AMC - Australia, MCI- India and other licensing exams world wide.
This is done in association with other support we provide to make this happen. We are also developing programs in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and Optometry whereby the last year or the last 2 years are credit transferred to Universities in USA, UK, Australia Etc Developments of credits transfers are underway.
